I dreamed of you last night
Slippery eel, coral toned and
beautiful
You swam gracefully
Turned back flips, deeply asleep
What did you dream of?
I wondered then
What thoughts unknown to us all
Swam behind closed eyelids in tune
To the waves of your tenuous frame?
You were sleek, smelled of
The rawest sort of life-
Slightly sweet and precious
An anemone in the cradling sea
Of my body
A barnacle of pearls, wreathed with stars
The two of us connect in ways
That nothing can truly sever
My blood your blood,
My bones your bones
And my heartbeat the music
To which you danced

things are so funny
that aren't

so funny how when a door closes for good,
after a while it fades away
taking with it the pain, dulling the memories,
blurring the edges slowly, so that
we are unaware of this process, blind to it until
one day waking, thinking
"I can't remember your face"

so funny how, years later
in the midst of living life the best way you know how
a smell, soft and inconspicuous, shatters this facade
if only briefly,
you are, I am overcome, for the briefest of moments
and it all comes back-
then fades away once more, a single wave
cresting on a deserted beach

Altar of Self This is how we communicate
In the ancient language of
the sound of eggsshells breaking
underfoot,
the tantric message of

by an obsessive mind,

After 16 years of writing feverishly and from my heart, I can honestly say holding my book is the best experience I could have. It's truly a dream come true to have had a book published! My book is Tangible Soul by Jennifer Popescu, and right now it's on Lulu.com, but it will be on amazon soon as well! Oh my god, I need to breathe into a paper bag.

Now i'm just simply irritated with not being able to leave a comment on your poems.
